Hi, El Pusher. This should enable the keyboard in Dame in DOSBox (tested with 0.61 official version): Install the game, choose a sound card (I picked out Gravis Ultrasound), then delete or rename wintest.exe from the game directory and copy mem.exe in there (where to find it: XP - C: WINDOWS system32; Win 98 - c:/windows/command), rename mem.exe to wintest.exe and run the game. Now the keyboard should work fine. With 9000 cycles is speed perfect on my computer with 2.5 GHz processor.
The Dame Was Loaded is a first-person point-and-click adventure game for the PC platform created by Australian developer Beam Software (now Krome Studios Melbourne) first published in 1996 by Philips Interactive Media. The dame was loaded There was a great mini-resurgence of classic noir in the mid-90s. While Devil in a Blue Dress and L.A. Confidential hit out cinema screens, the computer monitor saw a couple of gems come to light (or dark as the case may be).
There is also a sound patch that can be found at The Patches Scrolls, but the game seems to work fine without it on my comp. I have used the mem trick mentioned above.and sure enough.it works. Excellent and thanks. But.the sound.without the mem fix, is fine, but no keyboard.
With the mem fix.the keyboard works, but sound is pauses in playback every three secs or so for about a second. Tried various cpu cycles adjustments.and does not help much. I am on WinMe.Dosbox 6.1 computer specs here: Can anyone help me out with this? Tried several different sound configs.no avail.
