I decided to have my 8 year old daughter wear the costume is was a glowing stick figure that I asked her if she was ok on wearing it in order to make a use of those $50.00 that I spent and it ended up that the face mask wan't working I got even more upset tried to see if I could fix it in order to not go back to the store and complain about it, but unfortunately I wasn't able to, I go back to the store 2 days later cause I couldn't go right away and told them to please do something about it and they said NO. My son choose a costume that he didn't see the size well if it was for kids or adults and since he's 12 decided to go with the kids size that I accept it was a mistake and then I go back to the store and told them it hasn't been even an hour that this costume was purchased can we do an exchange and they said no all sales are final, so I decided not to say anything, because I didn't want to make a drama infront of a lot of people waiting in line. Not allowing this store for me to throw money to the trash.
They are out to make money with their cheap and over priced products and they have no respect to their costumers needs or safety. After years of purchasing through this company I am now anti-Spirit Halloween and would not recommend them to anyone. When I asked an employee about this I was told the manager did not enforce masks and as an employee they couldn't do anything. To add to this, the store was over crowded and in the province where I live in the COVID law stated an indoor capacity to allow for social distancing as well as mandatory mask wearing - I saw several people not wearing masks. The "free" 866 # ended up costing me long distance charges and with the cost of the unused costume my disappointment turned to stress. I tried calling the head office but no one would answer my call it would ring and then a recording would come on, this continued over and over for 1/2 hr. The manager would not talk to me and the employee was loud & rude stating they had decided that morning that no more exchanges or returns would be accepted. I went to the store to find out that that was the cut off date for returns & exchanges. The costume wasn't opened and it was the 28th of Oct. When I got it home plans had changed due to COVID restrictions. I purchased a costume and didn't try it on due to COVID. Scary Customer Service Horrific Experience
